Meet your safari guide at hotel lobby. Coach transfer to Reindeer farm, ca 10 from the city centre. Reindeer husbandry is the eldest occupation in Lapland, and this traditional livelihood is still important to the region. Reindeer are semi-wild animals, they roam free in the woods and forests, and are collected together only twice a year for reindeer round ups. At the farm, located to Arctic Circle, reindeer herder has a carefully selected group of reindeer, which owner has trained for sledge pulling and for reindeer races. During the farm visit you will hear of reindeer herding, of a reindeer year and have also a possibility to feed the reindeer with their sweets, moose. As Lapland is home to stories and mysterious traditions. You are about to experience true Lappish magic during the ceremony for crossing the Arctic Circle. The ceremony is completed with a certificate for crossing this magical line for the Arctic, the land of the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun. During the day enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch. Return back to hotel by coach.

Upon arrival to the husky farm you will be greeted by the host of the farm and friendly sled dogs. During the visit you will have a tour around the farm, hear stories about huskies, their nature and
of training. In winter these Arctic animals truly love the cold climate as well as running and pulling
a sledge however, summer is too warm to train so they are relaxing. During the day, enjoy a tasty
2-course lunch. Return back to hotel by coach.

Today it is time to visit Arktikum, a science centre, museum, unique architectural sight and
a meeting and conference centre close to Rovaniemi city centre. Arktikum focuses on the Arctic regions and presents life, natural habitats, history, customs and cultures of the peoples living north of the Arctic Circle. The building itself is an unique architectural sight, opened in 1992 and designed by architects Bonderup and Lehtipalo. The glass-roofed passageway, its’ most visible structure, is 174 metres long and cut off by a 30-metre wide section of the highway to Kittilä.
