Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. Athens lies 5 miles (8km) from the Bay of Phaleron, an inlet of the Aegean Sea where Piraeus, the port of Athens is situated, in a mountain-girt arid basin divided north-south by a line of hills. Greater Athens has an area of 165 square miles (427 square km). Athens dominates the Attica region and is one of the world’s oldest cities. DAY 01 : ARRIVAL FLIGHT

Dinner in Greek Taverna

DAY 02 : ATHENS CITY TOUR INCLUDING ACROPOLIS

Transportation to Acropolis, 1/2 day guide.

Walking to Plaka and lunch in a typical Greek taverna in the heart of old part of town, Plaka.

Afternoon free. Suggestion: visit of Acropolis museum

DAY 03: DELPHI - VOLOS - PORTARIA

Leave Athens

First stop in Delphi

Visit the site of the god Apollo and the Oracle of Delphi

Continuing to Volos/Portaria

DAY 04: MILIES OR DAMOUCHARI

Take a trip with the special Pelion train to Milies and back. Time for walking around in this village and includes lunch in a good taverna.

Train goes back at 15:00 to the station from where the trip started.

Alternative 2:

Visit the small village of Damouchari on the east coast of Pelion for a lunch at the seaside at the site where a small part of Mama Mia was shot. On the way back to Portaria and the hotel stop at the small village Tsagarada.

DAY 05: PELION - METEORA - METSOVO

Lunch in connection with the visit of the wonderful monasteries in Meteora.

Metsovo is situated approx. 60 km from Kalambaka/ Meteora.

Dinner in Village of Metsovo

DAY 06: METSOVO - PREVESA - LEFKADA

Hotel in Nikiana, Lefkada ( situated approx. 9 km outside of main town ). Nikiana is not too far from the town and to take trips to different parts of the islands. There are also the best hotels.

Here we have a problem since many hotels that normally are open all during the year, have only been open for a short period. Our first suggestion would be:
